Thank you Rep. Nolan West! Exactly, it's critical to keep 14c as an option for adults with disabilities. You are correct that if 14c eliminated, there will be individuals who will lose their jobs. We are now at a critical juncture in the legislative session. The House and Senate have each passed their versions of a Human Services Omnibus Policy bill, and they have created a conference committee (3 Senators and 3 Representatives) who will work out the differences. The major difference impacting Achieve and our participants is language in the House bill that would eliminate special minimum wage (also known as 14c) jobs. The Senate version deleted that provision. If the House language remains in the final bill, many Achieve participants will lose the jobs they love. This issue will be decided in the days ahead, so please contact the legislators on the conference committee and ask them to support the Senate position on 14c! More information is included in this A-Team Minnesota action alert. Thank you for taking action on this important issue! ... See MoreSee Less
